Cartoon Dolls from great old cartoons make great bobbleheads! BabaLooey, Quickdraw McGraw's side kick is one of them!
Despite the stereotyping of Baba Looey, it was clear that he was much smarter than Quick Draw, but loyal to a fault... his realist to Quick Draw's idealist very loosely paralleling the protagonists in Don Quixote, although a rather safer comparison would probably be the earlier Hanna-Barbera pairing of the whimsical Yogi and his practical sidekick Boo-Boo. Baba Looey is a fictional character of the animated cartoon series Quick Draw McGraw. Baba Looey is a Mexican burro (and a caricature of each), who is the faithful sidekick to Quick Draw, a horse caricature. The relationship between Cartoon dolls Baba Looey and Quick Draw was very similar to that of another pair from the Hanna-Barbera stable, Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo Bear: the somewhat dim-witted, idealistic and adventurous leader, and the more intelligent, practical and cautious follower; a timeless literary device, as with Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, for example. The name "Baba Looey" is almost certainly taken from the song "Babalu", which was a major hit for Desi Arnaz in the 1940s, and which re-appeared from time to time in the 1950s hit TV series I Love Lucy.
